Five Cows =)

May 1, 2010
Before we watched Iron Man 2, we decided to have dinner at Five Cows Resto & Ice Cream Bar in Trinoma Mall, as suggested by our good friend Martin. As we got there, the place looks like a barn, wooden chairs and tables were unequally painted white. It was cozy.. and I saw almost everyone was eating  ice cream and cakes. So when the waiter handed us the menu, I first browsed the dessert section out of curiosity, and when I saw the list I thought.. yeah.. no wonder!

We had:

Five Cow's Asian salad: greens, tuna, kani, nori, apples, orange in wasabi dressing..at first Noah was hesitant because of the "wasabi" dressing, but when he saw the menu symbol for house specialty on it.. it made him go for it!

Gamberetti: spaghetti in olive oil, with pesto, shrimps, sun-dried tomatoes, white wine and parmesan cheese.
I'm a fan of sun-dried tomatoes! Taste is normal though, nothing special.

Chicken Marsala: My favorite! Grilled chicken, oyster, mushrooms, sweet marsala sauce, buttered veggies, and basil-butter rice. Thumbs up!

And down for the dessert:

After Eight: So so so liked it! layers of double chocolate chip ice cream and mint ice cream covered with chocolate cake!! wheew!

Tiramisu Cup: chocolate chip ice cream, cheesecake ice cream, mocha ice cream, whipped cream topped with espresso biscuit! Something uncommon though taste of cream is very evident, I think I won't finish a cup of this.

Will definitely go back here to try other entrees and dessert!

Blueberry Cheese Tart at Rowena's =)

April 25, 2010

Before we headed back to Manila, we dropped by Rowena's, my personal favorite pasalubong shop. We never fail to buy Mango Tart whenever we visit the place. Unfortunately that night, they didn't have any available, sad.... But we saw something new (for us) placed on the counter.. Blueberry cheese tart!! So we bought it instead. One box contains 8 mini tarts priced at 160.00. We tried it right after having late dinner at home, it was good, taste is just right. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

First stop was at Calaruega - located in Nasugbu Batangas.

It is a great getaway if you want to go to a solemn place, relax and have a good time with family.

Darlene Zschech and The Hill song Worship Team

April 20, 2010
Touching Heaven Worship Night: A concert for a cause.

I have been wanting to watch the Hillsong worship team concert especially Darlene Zschech, and that day was a big opportunity for me and Noah. When I first found out about it, Noah and I did not have second thoughts about the concert.

Most of their songs are included in the praise and worship in our church. I must say, all the words in their  piece are strong-moving. It touches our lives, lifts our spirit and brings our heart more fire with God.

It was a really touching night. ♥

One way Jesus

After four days of rest.. Back to the real world tomorrow but I don't feel any thrill about it.. =(

Goodles- Pasta On the Go!

Every Sunday we always chanced upon the ad of Goodles inside Robinson's Galleria mall, So before we attended church service yesterday, Noah and I decided to have dinner here out of curiosity. And since our taste pallets were craving for pasta, this was a good time!

Noah got the Mediterranean Tuna. He liked it but for me it was quite dry, so-so, or maybe I'm just a fan of creamy pasta.

Then I got the Moroccan Beef just to try something new - I liked it better. It was creamy and tasty.

Their serving is quite big, good enough for 2 average eater I guess. For the price, it ranges from Php125.00 to Php170.00. And their home-made iced tea costs Php 50.00.

I guess we'll go back there to try their other pasta.

SUNKISSED - Fashion Show by My Mix Boutique

Went to a Fashion Show last April 17 by My Mix Boutique at Sizzler's Bar along Timog Ave. The owner, Ma. Clarizza De Vera who sells her products online was Nice's friend. She showcased her summer collection for this year.
Noah and I were introduced to her after the show, and during our small chat, I found out that she designs all the apparels for purchase.. One of the few online sellers I know =). I found the clothes trendy yet sophisticated that any girl would want to have one of her designs, aside from the style, price also is very affordable. With a range of 350.00 -550.00, who would be in doubt of buying a good stuff without compromising their budget?! I myself was able to purchase that night!

Summer dress galore!

My favorite 2-piece design... I bought one of these, purple color! Love! =)
